Ronald Bilius Weasley, usually known as just Ron Weasley, was born into this world on the 1st of March, 1980. He comes from a long line of pure-blood wizards and is the youngest son of Arthur and Molly Weasley.

He takes his middle name from his Uncle Bilius, who, according to eye-witness reports, spotted a Grim and unfortunately, breathed his last a day later.

In 1991, Ron began his magical education at the prestigious Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and much to his delight, was sorted into the House of Gryffindor.

He soon became firm friends with fellow students Harry Potter, a.k.a. ‘The Boy Who Lived,’ and the brainy, kind-hearted Hermione Granger who was Muggle-born.

During their years at school, the trio faced many challenges including saving Ron’s baby sister Ginny from the Chamber of Secrets, keeping the Sorcerer’s Stone from Professor Quirinus Quirrell, and forming Dumbledore’s Army.

They also participated in a number of battles including the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, the Second Wizarding War, the Battle over Little Whinging and the Battle of the Astronomy Tower.

Together with Hermione Granger, Ron was appointed a Prefect of Gryffindor and was also chosen as Keeper of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. However, he skipped his last year at Hogwarts, after vowing to accompany Harry and Hermione on an extremely dangerous quest to destory the Horcruxes of Voldemort.

He also fought in the final battle – the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998.

After the war ended, Ron worked for a brief period at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes with his older brother George, and later went on to become a distinguished Auror. He and Hermione eventually married and had two lovely kids – a daughter named Rose and a son called Hugo.
