Fred Flintstone, is a much-loved fictional character that made his debut in the super popular animated sitcom ‘The Flintstones.’ He is married to Wilma Flintstone, and the couple have a son by the name of Pebbles Flintstone.

Fred’s closest friends are his friendly next door neighbors Betty and Barney Rubble, who also have a son with a very unusual name – Bamm-Bamm.

The Flintstones live at Cave Stone Road, in the tiny prehistoric town of Bedrock – a highly fascinating world where both carnivorous as well as herbivorous dinosaurs peacefully coexist with modernized cave people. Bedrock’s population enjoy ‘primitive’ versions of sophisticated, modern day gadgets such as automobiles, washing machines and telephones.

According to the creators of the sitcom, Fred’s personality was vaguely based on the mannerisms of Chester A. Riley (of The Life of Riley fame) and Ralph Kramden, who played a starring role in the 1950’s tv series The Honeymooners.

Fred’s character is quite aggressive and loud-mouthed, and is always thinking up new schemes to try and improve the quality of life his family leads.

He has numerous hobbies and interests, including bowling, playing golf, poker, playing pool and simply lounging around the house. He is famous for his talent in bowling and playing pool. (In fact, he successfully clinched the bowling championships due to his amazing skills).
